Children who attend two settings

As of 1st September 2020 Children are now permitted to attend Coten End Pre-School if they also attend another setting while the Covid 19 Pandemic is still in existence. Government guidance states that “parents and carers should be encouraged to limit the number of settings their child attends, ideally ensuring their child only attends the same setting consistently” But we do understand this is not always possible. Please inform Pre-School of which other setting your child attends.

Another Setting is defined as:

• Another Nursery or Pre-School
• Grandparents, or other relatives houses
• Childminders
• Out of School Club, extra curricular activities

Do not send your child in if:

• They or anyone in your household has any signs or symptoms of Covid19, or generally feel unwell.
• If your child is in a ‘bubble’ at the other setting and anyone shows signs and symptoms where they are sent home to get a Covid 19 test, then please stay at home from Coten End Pre-school also and self isolate until you have the results saying you do not have Covid 19.
• If you have been abroad or visited the areas that are in a local lockdown in the last 14 days
• You arrive to the setting via public transport
• Children’s bags will stay in the setting with 3 changes of clothes, Children’s toys are not encouraged into the setting, in particular personal belongings that have been in the other setting.
• Please note: staff will not be wearing face masks as we feel we cannot communicate clearly with children when half of our faces are covered.
• On entering the building you will be required to wash your and your child’s hands and use the antibacterial gel that is available
• No communication books will be used between the settings at this time, but we are happy to send any paperwork or information you wish us to share with the other setting through email.
